A tour of the Rock
Garden
|
We welcome requests for group visits and tours.
Because of our limited parking lot and busy schedule, tours must
be reserved in advance, and we prefer at least 4 weeks notice.
Please car pool and be prepared for a short walk (about 1/4 mile)
to the garden from Summerville.
Before bringing a bus to the garden it is mandatory that we know
in advance so that we can reserve the parking lot for you and verify
that it is a size that will be able to turn around in this small
space.
Educational Groups
Educational groups of 10 or more students and accompanying adults
may visit the garden free of charge.
We enjoy working with teachers prior to a visit to make sure the
experience best suits your learning objectives.
We can tailor our tour and their activities to focus on a variety
of topics, including (but not limited to):
- native plant identification
- plant adaptations from alpine cushions to insect-eating traps
- Pacific Northwest rare and endangered plants
- gardening and greenhouse
- plant classification and taxonomy
- plants from around the world

Recreational Groups
Cost: $5 a person
Minimum: 10 people
We will provide a staff or volunteer to guide you through the garden.
If you have a special interest or request, please let us know when
you make the reservation. This is a fun way to "get the inside scoop"
on the garden with your garden club, family, outing group and more.
