Horticulture ~ Plants and Grounds
Caring for the Garden

To keep the garden growing and healthy requires basic gardening such as weeding, raking, planting, mulching, pruning, renovating planting beds, adding new plants, amending soil and monitoring the health of the collections. Using an Integrated Pest Management approach, we practice maintenance techniques that promote plant health, have minimal negative effects on the environment and benefit wildlife habitat.

Volunteers are key to the success of the Horticulture program
